Pack for Reality, Not Hope
Your parcel will move. It will bounce. It may be stacked with other parcels. Pack accordingly.
Use a sturdy box or padded envelope. For fragile items, wrap each item individually with bubble wrap or newspaper. Fill empty spaces so nothing rattles. If you can shake your parcel and hear movement, add more padding. When in doubt, over-pack.
Seal Like You Mean It
A loose seal is a broken promise.
Use strong packing tape—never household masking tape or string. Tape all seams and edges. For boxes, use the "H-tape" method (tape down the center seam and both side edges). For envelopes, press firmly to ensure adhesive sticks. If your parcel opens in transit, we cannot guarantee what falls out.
Label Clearly and Completely
One wrong digit. One missing street name. One hour of delay.
Write or print the recipient's full name, phone number, and complete address (street name, house number, landmark, area). Use a dark pen or black ink. Place the label on the largest flat surface. Include your own return address on the back. For inter-city deliveries, include the town name in capital letters: NDOLA, KITWE, LIVINGSTONE.
Tell the Recipient
The best courier cannot deliver to someone who is not there.
Before you book, notify your recipient that a parcel is coming. Share the delivery date and estimated time window. Confirm they will be available. Provide them with your booking reference number. A prepared recipient is a delivered parcel.
Book Early
Same-day does not mean "immediate."
For guaranteed same-day delivery in Lusaka, book before 12 PM. Bookings after 2 PM may deliver the next day. For inter-city deliveries, book at least one day in advance. Early booking = calm delivery. Last-minute booking = stress for everyone.
